  - type this into your browser: http://xserve02a:38080/manage
  - sign in at the Zope management interface (user: admin, password: e1nst...)
  - go into the folder dmd_archimedes
  - click on the Psycopg_database_connection (Z Psycopg Database Connection)
  - press the button "Close connection"
  - press the button "Open connection"

Now, the database connection should work again.
